Rainwater Harvesting Tank - Underground
Atlantis Rainwater Re-use Systems provides a method
of collecting and cleaning storm water from surfaces
including roofs and roads to supply clean and regular
water for reuse in situations including domestic and
landscape applications. The advantages of the Atlantis
system is that it filters water before it is stored and
can deal with the recycling opportunities of
infiltration, and recycling all in one system.
It is becoming increasingly obvious to most
governments around the world that the cost of providing
a usable water supply is increasing rapidly. Decaying
infrastructure and storm water system pollution is not
only contaminating ecosystems but this valuable source
of water is literally going down the drain. Recent
scientific reports are indicating that by 2010 over two
thirds of the worlds’ population will not have access to
clean water.
In domestic applications the Atlantis Rainwater Reuse
System can be designed in the same manner as other
On-Site-Detention Systems by merely replacing the
storage area with Atlantis Rainwater Tanks. In the
Atlantis system the Atlantis Filtration Unit filters all
storm water run-off from roofs prior to entering the
storage tanks. The use of the Atlantis Filtration Unit
is an important factor in ensuring a safe, efficient and
maintenance free system. Typical applications for the
Atlantis System are toilet flushing, washing machine
water and watering the garden.
In urban re-use situations the Atlantis Rainwater Re-use
System is proving effective in providing a regular clean
water supply for landscape area irrigation. The Atlantis
System uses EcoSoils to purify highly contaminated
Stormwater road run-off for capture in Atlantis
Rainwater Tanks. Clean water can then be used to
irrigate landscape areas and gardens.
